Student Engagement

Students’ engagement, motivation, and mindsets play a critical role in their educational success as they work to achieve CCRS. While some students may seem to be intrinsically motivated to do their best, other students will require support to actively engage in their own learning.

The resources below provide educators with information on how to foster these important habits of mind.

National Center on Accessible Educational Materials for Learning provides resources to promote equitable opportunities for children with disabilities to:

  1. participate in high-quality early learning programs,
  2. be involved in and progress in the general education curriculum,
  3. prepare to meet college and career-ready standards,
  4. participate in assessments, and
  5. transition to postsecondary education and the workforce.
